Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Labor & Delivery Department provides compassionate care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and evaluating patient conditions.
They assess and respond to patient needs, applying sound nursing judgment and creating individualized care plans.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, collaborates with the team, and guides ancillary staff.
Cross trains to work on both High Risk Antepartum and Labor & Delivery units, with routine assignments to either.
Maintains compliance with privacy regulations, ensuring sensitive information is protected and accessed only on a âneed to knowâ basis.
The role emphasizes kindness, active listening, and contributing to a positive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
