Job Description
This RN role in Hematology/Oncology involves assessing, planning, coordinating, and managing patient care throughout the episode of care, including transitions and discharge planning.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing primary/emergency care.
Collaborates with the team to create and follow a Plan of Care, guides ancillary staff, and ensures professional nursing standards.
Requires a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Prior nursing assistance experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of quality improvement, sound judgment, and continuing education are essential. The role involves access to sensitive health information, with strict confidentiality protocols.
