The Clinical Nurse in the Emergency Department provides comprehensive patient care, coordinating and managing needs throughout their stay, including transitions to discharge.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostics, and assessing patient responses.
Collaborates with the team to develop care plans and guides ancillary staff, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current RN license, and 1-3 years of ED experience, preferably in a trauma or stroke center.
Must maintain certifications like BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC and participate in continuing education.
The department is a Level I Trauma Center with 45 rooms, specialized zones, and advanced facilities, serving diverse acute care needs 24/7.
The role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy laws. Salary ranges from $36.73 to $60.93 hourly, with benefits including health insurance, pension, and paid leave.
