Job Description
This RN position in the Pulmonary, Renal, and General Medical Unit involves assessing, planning, and managing patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing primary/emergency care.
Collaborates with the team to develop and execute patient care plans, guides ancillary staff, and ensures compassionate, competent care.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, BLS certification, and preferred experience as a PCA or nurse assistant.
The unit has 28 beds serving patients with pulmonary, renal, and general medical diagnoses, primarily aged 45-65.
The hourly rate ranges from $36.73 to $60.93, with a work shift during daytime hours.
This role requires adherence to privacy regulations and responsible handling of sensitive patient information.
