Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department provides compassionate patient care, demonstrating kindness and active listening.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents appropriately.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as prescribed.
Collaborates with the team to develop a comprehensive Plan of Care and guides ancillary staff.
The role requires adherence to privacy regulations, ensuring sensitive information is protected and accessed only on a “need to know” basis.
