The clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist role provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, using sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Administers over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop a Plan of Care.
Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
The role may involve access to sensitive information, requiring strict confidentiality and adherence to privacy laws.
