Job Description
This Night shift Medical/Surgical Hospitalist RN role involves assessing, planning, and managing patient care throughout hospitalization, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting care.
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests; assess patient needs and responses; provide primary/emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and execute patient care plans, and supervise ancillary staff.
Requires a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate nursing degree, current NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification.
1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, with strong communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of quality improvement principles and adherence to confidentiality standards are essential.
