Job Description
The Night Hospitalist RN provides patient assessments, care coordination, and management during hospital stays, focusing on discharge planning and transitions.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests; assesses patient needs and responses; applies sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses; collaborates with the team to develop care plans and guides ancillary staff.
Requires a diploma, associateâs or bachelorâs degree in nursing, NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience.
Must have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; knowledge of quality improvement principles.
The role involves handling sensitive information with strict confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
