Job Description
This Night shift Medical/Surgical Hospitalist RN role involves assessing, planning, and managing patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing both primary and emergency care.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop and follow a Plan of Care, guides ancillary staff, and ensures professional standards are maintained.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.
The position involves handling sensitive patient information in compliance with privacy laws.
