The Medical/Surgical Cardiac Hospitalist role involves assessing, coordinating, and managing patient care on a 29-bed unit, focusing on progress toward discharge and care transitions.
The nurse delivers and supervises patient care, ensuring compassionate, competent service across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
Patients include a wide age range with cardiac and medical diagnoses, often requiring telemetry monitoring after procedures.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and evaluating patient responses.
The role requires a nursing diploma or degree, valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and preferably prior nursing assistance experience.
The position involves applying sound nursing judgment, creating care plans, guiding staff, and maintaining professional standards.
Salary ranges from $76,396.32 to $126,730.61, with an hourly rate of $36.73 to $60.93, and is based on night shifts.
