Job Description
This position is in the Post Cardiothoracic Surgery unit, a specialized high-functioning team dedicated to quality patient care.
Work involves caring for patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic, and interventional procedures, with a focus on telemetry monitoring.
Ideal for individuals eager to learn, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence, suitable for new graduates and experienced RNs.
Preferred skills include cardiac rhythm interpretation, vasoactive and antiarrhythmic medication management, and chest tube care.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, evaluating diagnostic tests, assessing patient needs, providing emergency and primary care, and collaborating on care plans.
Minimum qualifications: nursing diploma or degree, NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, 1-3 years of clinical RN experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of quality improvement principles is advantageous.
