Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Short Stay Surgical department provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, assessing patient needs, and providing primary and emergency care.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop care plans, directs ancillary staff, and maintains professional standards.
Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential.
The role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations.
