Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Short Stay Surgical department provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and documenting care.
Assesses patient needs, applies sound nursing judgment, and provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow a Plan of Care, and guides ancillary staff.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
The role involves handling sensitive information responsibly, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
