Job Description
The Vascular Surgery Clinical Nurse provides comprehensive patient care, focusing on coordinating and managing needs throughout the episode of care, including transitions and discharge planning.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and assessing patient conditions.
Provides primary and emergency care for patients with complex vascular conditions, including amputations and wounds.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop and execute individualized care plans, guides ancillary staff, and ensures professional standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS/ACLS certifications, and relevant experience.
Knowledge of quality improvement principles and continuing education are encouraged.
The role requires adherence to privacy and confidentiality policies, including HIPAA regulations.
