Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in Vascular Surgery assesses, plans, and manages patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge readiness and transitions.
Provides patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting appropriately.
Orders and evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and responds accordingly.
Offers primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborates with the team to develop care plans, and guides ancillary staff.
Requires graduation from a recognized nursing program, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, with preferred experience as a PCA or nursing assistant.
Knowledge of quality improvement principles and continuing education is essential.
The role involves caring for patients with complex vascular conditions, including amputations and wounds, with training provided on relevant skills.
