Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Infectious Disease Med/Surg Unit provides comprehensive patient care, coordinating and managing patient needs throughout their hospital stay with a focus on discharge planning and care transitions.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care following regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient conditions, and uses sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow patient care plans.
Supervises ancillary staff, maintains professional standards, and ensures quality care.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Requires 1-3 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in Telemetry or ICU.
Strong emphasis on continuing education, quality improvement, and confidentiality of sensitive information.
