Job Description
This RN position is in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit, caring for post-surgical patients in a 22-room setting.
Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion, wound vac changes, NG, and catheter management.
Collaborate with the team to create and follow a comprehensive Plan of Care, ensuring quality patient care during inpatient, ambulatory, and community transitions.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC. Continuing education is encouraged.
The role requires compliance with privacy and security policies for sensitive information.
