Job Description
This RN position is in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit, which cares for post-surgical patients in 22 semi-private rooms.
Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and managing patient care, with a focus on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Perform procedures such as chest tube insertion, central lines, wound vac changes, NG, and catheter management.
Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and conduct treatments and tests.
Evaluate diagnostic results, monitor patient responses, and collaborate with the team to develop care plans.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree, current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
The role emphasizes compassionate, competent care and adherence to privacy regulations.
