Job Description
The Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit cares for patients post-surgery in a 22-room semi-private setting.
Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion, central lines, wound vac changes, NG, catheterization.
Assess, plan, coordinate, and manage patient care throughout hospitalization, focusing on discharge readiness.
Implement physician orders, administer medications, perform treatments, interpret diagnostic tests, and evaluate patient responses.
Collaborate with the team to develop and follow individualized care plans.
Supervise ancillary staff, uphold professional standards, and ensure competent, compassionate care.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
This role involves handling sensitive information following privacy regulations.
