Job Description

This Registered Nurse position in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit involves caring for post-surgical patients in a 22-room setting.

  • Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion, central lines, wound vac changes, NG, catheter placements.

  • Assess, plan, coordinate, and manage patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge readiness.

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, perform treatments and diagnostic tests, and document care.

  • Evaluate patient needs and responses, applying sound nursing judgment for care management.

  • Collaborate with the team to develop and follow patient care plans, supervise ancillary staff.

  • Qualifications include nursing diploma or degree, valid NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
