Job Description
This RN position in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit involves caring for post-surgical patients in a 22-room unit.
Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion, central lines, wound vac changes, NG, and catheter care.
Assess, plan, implement, and manage patient care, focusing on discharge readiness and transitions.
Implement physician orders, administer medications, perform treatments, interpret diagnostic tests, and evaluate patient needs.
Collaborate with the team to develop a Plan of Care and ensure professional nursing standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
This role requires maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to regulatory standards.
