Job Description
This role is in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit, caring for post-surgical patients in semi-private rooms.
Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion, central lines, wound vac changes, NG, and catheters.
Assess, plan, and coordinate patient care throughout hospitalization, focusing on discharge readiness.
Implement physician orders, administer medications, perform treatments, and interpret diagnostic tests.
Evaluate patient needs, administer medications, and collaborate with the team to develop care plans.
Supervise ancillary staff and uphold professional nursing standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, and certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC. Continuing education is encouraged.
