Job Description
This Registered Nurse position is in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit, caring for post-surgical patients in a 22-room unit.
Responsibilities include assisting with procedures (chest tube insertion, central lines, wound vacs, NG, catheters), assessing patient needs, administering medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, and creating care plans.
The role requires executing physician orders, performing treatments, collaborating with the team, and guiding ancillary staff.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, and certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC. Continuing education to enhance skills is encouraged.
The position offers a day shift with a salary range of $36.73 – $60.93 per hour or $76,396.32 – $126,730.61 annually. The role involves handling sensitive information with confidentiality and compliance.
