Job Description
This RN position in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit involves caring for post-surgical patients in a 22-bed unit.
Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion, central lines, wound vac changes, NG, catheterizations, and more.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, focusing on progress toward discharge.
Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments and tests.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, evaluate patient needs, and apply sound nursing judgment.
Collaborate with the team to develop care plans and guide ancillary staff.
Qualifications include RN license, diploma or higher in nursing, and certifications like BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
The role emphasizes compassionate, competent care, adherence to regulations, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
