Job Description
This RN position in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit involves caring for post-surgical patients in a 22-bed unit.
Responsibilities include assisting with procedures such as chest tube insertion, central lines, wound vac changes, and catheter placements.
Assessing, planning, implementing, and managing patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge readiness.
Implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Collaborating with the team to develop care plans and guiding ancillary staff.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
The role emphasizes compassionate, competent care and requires adherence to privacy and confidentiality policies.
