Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in Elective Orthopedics provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, tests, and documents care per regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, using sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
Administers medications as ordered and collaborates on care plans.
Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organization, and quality improvement skills are required.
The role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations.
