Job Description
The Clinical Nurse III role is based in the Elective Orthopedics – B3W unit, a 24-bed post-surgical unit specializing in elective orthopedic and total joint surgeries, as well as trauma and general medical-surgical patients.
The nurse implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care in compliance with regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as prescribed.
Collaborates with the team to develop patient care plans, directs ancillary staff, and maintains professional standards.
Qualifications include a nursing degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills are essential.
