Job Description
The Clinical Nurse III position is based in the Elective Orthopedics – B3W unit, a 24-bed post-surgical unit specializing in elective orthopedic and Total Joint surgeries, caring for post-op, trauma, and general medical-surgical patients.
Provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, and performing treatments.
Evaluates patient conditions through diagnostic tests, assesses needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.
Administers medications, provides primary and emergency care, and collaborates with the team to develop and execute care plans.
Supervises ancillary staff, maintains professional standards, and ensures compliance with regulations.
Requires a nursing degree, valid NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills are essential. The role involves night shifts with a salary range of $76,396.32 – $126,730.61.
