Job Description
This Clinical Nurse role in the Emergency Department involves assessing, planning, and managing patient care, focusing on discharge progress and transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing primary and emergency care.
Collaborates with the care team to develop and execute patient care plans, directs ancillary staff, and ensures high standards of nursing practice.
Requires a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
Must have 1-3 years of ED experience, preferably in a trauma or stroke center, with strong clinical judgment.
The ED is a Level I Trauma Center with specialized zones, equipment, and facilities, serving patients 24/7.
Compensation ranges from $76,396 to $126,730 annually, with benefits including health coverage, pension, and paid leave.
