The Emergency Department RN assesses, plans, and manages patient care throughout their stay, focusing on progress toward discharge and transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing primary and emergency care.
Collaborates with the team to create care plans, guides ancillary staff, and ensures quality standards.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current RN license, 1-3 years ED experience (preferably in a Level I Trauma Center), and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
