Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Emergency Department provides patient assessment, care coordination, and management throughout their stay, focusing on progress toward discharge and safe transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and collaborating on care plans.
Must have a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), a current RN license, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
Requires 1-3 years of ED experience, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center, with strong clinical judgment and commitment to continuing education.
The ED is a Level I Trauma Center serving diverse patients 24/7, with specialized zones and facilities including trauma, pediatrics, rapid care, and more.
This role involves handling sensitive information securely, with access based on “need to know” principles.
