Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Emergency Department provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness, contributing to a supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, administering medications as prescribed.
Collaborates with the team to develop patient care plans, guides ancillary staff, and maintains professional standards.
Requires graduation from an approved nursing program, current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS and ACLS.
Must have 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
Adheres to confidentiality policies to protect sensitive information, including HIPAA regulations.
