Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Emergency Department provides compassionate, patient-centered care through active listening and kindness.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs, responses to care, and applies sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop patient care plans and guides ancillary staff.
Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills.
This role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations.
