Job Description
The Emergency Department Clinical Nurse provides comprehensive patient care, coordinating and managing care throughout the hospital stay with a focus on discharge planning.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing tests and treatments, and documenting care.
Evaluates diagnostic results, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for primary and emergency care.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow a Plan of Care, guiding ancillary staff to maintain professional standards.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current RN license, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
Must have 1-3 years ED experience, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center, and a commitment to continuing education.
