Job Description

The Clinical Nurse in the Infectious Disease Med/Surg Unit provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness, recognizing the value of each team member’s contribution.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, tests, and documents care according to regulations.

  • Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.

  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.

  • Collaborates with the team to create and follow patient care plans, guiding ancillary staff and maintaining professional standards.

  • Qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical Med/Surg experience.

  • Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and quality improvement skills are required.
