Job Description
This night-shift Pediatric ICU RN position involves caring for critically ill patients aged 0-21 with conditions like respiratory issues, trauma, sepsis, neurological disorders, and post-surgical needs, including transport to and from outside facilities.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, assessing patient needs, and providing emergency and primary care.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow individualized care plans, guides ancillary staff, and maintains professional nursing standards.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, with preferred prior PCA or nursing assistant experience and commitment to ongoing education.
Must adhere to confidentiality policies, protecting sensitive health information per regulations and organizational standards.
