Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) provides comprehensive patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on progress toward discharge and care transitions.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care according to regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to develop a Plan of Care.
Supervises ancillary staff, ensuring professional standards are maintained.
Requires a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical experience, including telemetry or ICU.
Must follow confidentiality policies, ensuring sensitive information is protected and used only as needed.
