Job Description
The Medical/Surgical Cardiac Hospitalist role involves assessing, coordinating, and managing patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on progress toward discharge and transitions within the care episode.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and documenting care.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs, responds to care, and applies sound nursing judgment for management decisions.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop and implement care plans, directs ancillary personnel, and ensures professional standards are maintained.
Role may require access to sensitive information, with responsibilities to protect patient privacy and adhere to regulations.
