Job Description
The Registered Professional Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Cardiac Hospitalist department works weekend days to assess, plan, coordinate, and manage patient care, focusing on discharge readiness and transitions.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and tests.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop a Plan of Care and guides ancillary staff.
Ensures compassionate, competent patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
The role may involve handling sensitive information, requiring adherence to privacy and security policies.
