Job Description
This RN role in the Medical/Surgical Cardiac unit involves assessing, planning, coordinating, and managing patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge readiness and transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing emergency and primary care.
Collaborates with the team to create and follow patient care plans, guides ancillary staff, and maintains professional standards.
Requirements include a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree in nursing, current NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification. Prior nursing assistance experience is preferred.
The 29-bed unit serves adult patients with various cardiac and medical diagnoses, mostly requiring telemetry monitoring post-procedures.
Must adhere to confidentiality and information security standards per federal and state regulations.
