Job Description
This RN role in the Medical/Surgical Cardiac unit involves assessing, planning, and managing patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing primary and emergency care.
Collaborates with the care team to develop and execute patient care plans, directs ancillary staff, and ensures consistent, compassionate care.
Requires graduation from a recognized nursing program, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, with preferred experience as a PCA or nursing assistant.
The 29-bed unit serves adult patients with cardiac and medical diagnoses, often requiring telemetry monitoring after procedures.
Work hours are day shifts with a salary range of $76,396.32 – $126,730.61.
Adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations is essential.
