Job Description
The Night Medical/Surgical Cardiac Hospitalist role involves assessing, planning, and managing patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on discharge readiness and transitions.
Provides coordinated patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting outcomes.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment.
Offers primary and emergency care for a diverse cardiac patient population, including telemetry monitoring post-procedures.
Collaborates with the team to develop and execute individualized care plans, directing ancillary staff, and maintaining professional standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, with preferred experience as a PCA or nurse assistant.
The role emphasizes patient safety, quality care, and confidentiality, requiring adherence to legal and institutional policies.
