Job Description
This night shift RN role in the Medical/Surgical Cardiac unit involves assessing, planning, and managing patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing emergency and primary care.
The RN collaborates with the team to develop and execute patient care plans, guiding ancillary staff and ensuring professional standards.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, with preferred prior nursing assistant experience.
The 29-bed unit serves adult patients with cardiac diagnoses, often requiring telemetry monitoring after procedures.
The role requires compliance with privacy regulations and maintaining sensitive information confidentiality.
