Job Description
The clinical Nurse in the General Surgery/Trauma unit provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and assessing patient needs.
Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, evaluates patient responses, and applies sound nursing judgment.
Offers primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow a Plan of Care, directs ancillary staff, and maintains professional standards.
Requires a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), a valid NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS and ACLS.
Must have 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, with strong communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills.
