Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the General Surgery/Trauma unit provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Offers primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to develop Plans of Care.
Supervises ancillary staff and maintains professional standards.
Requires a nursing degree, valid NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Demonstrates strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, supporting quality improvement efforts.
The role involves ensuring confidentiality and compliance with health information regulations.
