The clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department provides compassionate patient care through kindness and active listening.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents appropriately.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Administers medications as ordered and collaborates with the team to develop a Plan of Care.
Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
This role may involve access to sensitive health information, requiring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
