Job Description
The clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Administers over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
Collaborates with the team to develop a Plan of Care and guides ancillary staff.
Ensures professional standards are maintained.
The role may involve handling sensitive information, requiring strict confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
