Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department provides comprehensive patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Collaborates with the care team to develop and follow a Plan of Care, guiding ancillary staff and maintaining professional standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, with preferred experience as a PCA or nursing assistant.
