Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department provides comprehensive patient care throughout the care episode, focusing on discharge planning and care transitions.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care per policies and regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs, responds to care requirements, and provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Uses sound nursing judgment in care management and collaborates with the team to develop and execute care plans.
Supervises ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, with preferred prior nursing assistance experience.
