Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist unit provides comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and managing treatment throughout the hospital stay, with a focus on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care according to regulations.
Orders and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, collaborating on patient care plans.
Supervises ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
Qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, with preferred experience as a PCA or nursing assistant.
The role emphasizes compassionate, competent care, adherence to privacy regulations, and ongoing education for performance improvement.
